Sheki Reservoir

A new water pumping station has been commissioned in Aliyar village. The station will provide drinking water to Sheki, Jayirli and Gozlubulag villages in the area. The work done to improve the supply of drinking water to the population was discussed. It was noted that the population of these remote villages of the region has been suffering from drinking water for many years. Relevant funds were allocated by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers in August last year to improve the supply of drinking water to villages. With these funds, 3 artesian wells were drilled in the Aliyar village, a reservoir was built and a pumping station was installed. A total of 25 kilometers of water line has been laid from the pump station to these villages. It was noted that as a result of the commissioning of the station, the problem of drinking water for about 6,000 people living in these villages has already been resolved.
